Who are these people? And why, of all things, are they so fixated on Falmouth’s plans to create a municipal broadband network?
These are questions that came to mind when we learned of Mass Priorities and its $500,000 campaign to “educate” the public about poor municipal spending decisions.
“Across the state, our infrastructure is crumbling: bridges are falling apart, water quality is degrading, and municipal budgets are facing higher costs to deliver basic services,” the group’s website states. “It’s time for municipal governments to get their priorities straight. Our precious tax dollars must go to fixing our infrastructure, improving our schools, and keeping communities safe.”... (read more)
